The Art of RossanaCastellino

On this week of our Art Interview, RossanaCastellino is going to share her experience as a blooming artist.
What makes her stand out among the rest is the unique style and underlying concept of her works.
Her preferred traditional media being color pencil and pastel;
And to see what wonders these two media could do together, you should definitely check out her gallery!
Her interpretation of fantasy creatures, dark and goth theme is often mixed with a pinch of mystery...
Maybe art, in a way, could reflect the life of artists?

:bulletyellow: How do you feel yourself as an artist?

Somehow, I always tried to make art. I've always been fascinated by many art forms that have always inspired me: painting, sculpture, photography, music, comics...
Drawing is absolutely the best way to express myself, much more than words for me!

:bulletyellow: Can you share us your goal in the artistic world?

My greatest aspiration is to create beautiful illustrated fairy tales. When I was a child I read a lot of illustrated books and I still collect them.
I think that the union between words and images can create wonderful worlds that can enrich your spirit and your imagination.
Thank you to those who have accompanied me in fantasy worlds with their beautiful art; Now I want to give others those enchanted worlds, so I draw and work every day to improve myself to achieve this goal.

:bulletyellow: Some of your deviations are very conceptual, what do you think about them?

All of my work tells a story, an emotion. But I always like to keep in suspense and not revealing the whole story, so the viewer can imagine his or her OWN story.
As I said before I want to tease the imagination of the viewer.

:bulletyellow: What is the one thing you want to tell the artists here?

I want to thank all those who followed me and all those artists who I met here and on the web, some of them have become friends.
Thank you for the art you've created that has always been a source of inspiration.
Art is one of the most beautiful gifts we have and give to others!
Be creative and never stop creating!
